A Raccoon Update

Well I checked with the Forest Preserve staff and they

know all about this little lady.

She is a young mom with kits nearby 

that has taken to foraging both night and day for 

her litter of young.

I have been informed she is normal and healthy.

This is a part of one of the gardens in 

Millenium Park ~ Downtown Chicago

This picture was taken last summer and 

the composition is not great 

but that is where I have been.

I promise this summer I will go back and

take some good shots of this place.

It is amazing!!

What used to be an ugly old rail yard is now a fantastic music venue, home to the "Bean" and much more.

A Forest Creature

I drove a short distance to the Forest Preserve 

just to take in a little spring on this 70 deg day

 and low and behold this little bugger comes 

jumping out of a trash can.

In broad daylight!

with a snack in his chops

He wasn't liking how close I got

So hightailed it up a tree

He still didn't like me much

I think he is hissing at me!!

Spring has Sprung

 of the dreaded weed
