It's been a whirlwind around here but
I could not miss this months photo
challenge hosted by Donna at

Cottage Days and Journeys
The subject is Stormy Weather
These photos have all been published before
but they are worth a second showing
The photo above is not black and white
That's how dark it was.
I adjusted the mid-tones in all of these to bring out the colors.
All of these except #3 are looking east near sunset out my window.
There is something about the play of light at that time of day that colors the clouds these beautiful colors.
I'll be back tonight to check out all of your beautiful photos.

Stunning! Absolutely stunning...
ReplyDeleteMy goodness!! What awesome photos!! My congrats for capturing such beauty with your camera. If the pictures are this pretty, I can't imagine what the real thing looked like! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWowsers, nature can sure put on an entertaining show at your place! These all look new to me, and they are so spectacular that they are indeed worthy of a second look. Love the colorful ones, but that third one is so spooky good! I expect a funnel or spaceship would come right down out of those clouds at any second! Take a bow. Just wonderful
ReplyDeleteWow!! Those are amazing photos of the really strange cloud formations. I suppose there is a scientific name for them though. :) Really great photos! Thanks for visiting. Pam
ReplyDeleteThe dark storm clouds really do look like black and white! WOW! And the sunset is gorgeous! Happy weekend my friend! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteWow - great shots! Thanks for sharing them. Have seen some pretty cloud formations, but unfortunately so many times they are the beginning of so much destruction.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. Hope you are enjoying the weekend.
I'm speechless!!!!
ReplyDeleteMesmerizing stormy photos! These are so gorgeous...fantastic photography!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots!! The clouds are so dramatic in each one...great captures!
ReplyDeleteThe clouds in the second and third photo have an eerie appearance making me think UFOs might be somewhere nearby.
ReplyDeleteTOTALLY impressed with these awesome photos....
ReplyDeleteWOW!! Amazing photos. The second one is my favorite. Looks like you could travel down the center of that one and who knows where you would end up!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing photos Jeanne, think you win!!
ReplyDelete;-)
Sorry to hear below about your Mum.
Thinking of you.
Thanks for your visit to my one photo this month.
It feels like it has been stormy weather here lately
even though it is winter time in the subtropics in the southern hemisphere here!
Stunning cloud formations with so much movement. Really great captures.
ReplyDeleteHaving not seen them the first time, I am so pleased you decided to share these stunning shots again for the challenge. I will be back as now following you. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, these are new to me. I love all of them, but that third one is my fave. Lots of drama there.
ReplyDeleteI love these dramatic sky photos. We're so lucky here where I live that we haven't had any really bad weather. I always feel like I'm dodging a bullet! Tornadoes are rare here in East Texas but they have happened - which means they will happen again. If I had to get in a ditch it is a real dilemma to pick which one: the one with the fire ants or the one with the snakes!
ReplyDeleteClouds are nothing without the light behind them! These are the most dramatic shots I've seen, yet. You can feeel the ENERGY behind the fluff! Thanks for sharing them again since they're new to me.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful pictures showing a sky! ♥
ReplyDeleteI love that dark and stormy sky! so lovely!
ReplyDeleteLovely. I'm A Fan Of The Rain. I May Be Behind But Has There Been Any Rain Photos. I Have A Lovely Video Of A Falling Rain Above A Beautiful Pink Tree.... But I'm Not Sure How To Get A Snapshot Out Of A Video
