His Guidance

Mom is still with us but barely. Yes, this is hard, and painful but there is something else...
There is something very intimate and spiritual about this experience for my sister and I.
The turning and bathing and changing.
The little drops of water from a dropper, the gentle wiping of her eyes.
Brushing her hair.
The caresses and comforting, the prayers.
That little glint of appreciation in her eyes. A little sqeeze of the hand.
Moments of recognition.
Knowing if she opens her eyes she will see someone who loves her, right there.
Knowing she is not in pain and whispering to her that it's okay to let go.
Jesus is waiting.

I don't wish to make anyone sad. I just needed to share that this is not all bad.
If you are ever faced with this situation know it is bearable and can be cherished.

I remember being with my dad at the end telling him that Jesus was waiting for him too.
    God bless you all.
