A Holiday Weekend

I took Friday off and
It was a beautiful warm sunny day.
I pulled dug weeds a good part of the day.

Finished with some pots on the front porch
I'm going to hang the fern but it needs to be separated first
It has completely outgrown the pot it is in.

There used to be a small evergreen tree here.
It turned brown and I had it removed.
I couldn't think of what to do with this corner but
I think the rose turned out nice.

Found this Clematis at the nursery. I couldn't resist.
I am hoping it will cascade along the front porch railing.

And these little pretties are waiting for a home.
As soon as the horrible aches and pains caused by weeding and digging subside.
Anyway, it's raining. I get a break inside cleaning up cat hair.

Have a wonderful weekend.

God bless our fallen hero's.

  2. Blessings to you this Memorial Day weekend. You have a pretty front porch. The rose bush should be happy in its new home...lots of sunshine. I've had the white/blue flower before and had very good luck with them. Glad the rain is giving your muscles a chance to feel better. I hear you about CAT HAIR!!!

  3. The flowers are wonderful and I love your deck. We've been trying to decide if we should stain the railings on ours but since I've seen yours, I want to paint them white - that would be perfect. Enjoy your weekend.

  4. Beautiful flowers. :) I have spent a lot of time in our yard this weekend too. But now it's time to change the litter in the kitties' boxes. An inside job. Lol

  5. Your porch and yard looks beautiful! Love the fern and the roses. Your clematis reminds me of a plant I had a few years ago called Thunbergia or Black-eyed Susan. It was one of my favorites.

  7. Your porch looks so inviting! Good choice on the rose bush in place of the removed tree.
