A short bus ride over the mountain from Ixtapa is
the city of Zihauntenejo
What I like about this place is it is a real Mexican small city.
None of the glitzy, manicured, designed for North Americans from the USA kind of place.
Shopping is fun fun fun.
The people are friendly and inviting
There are definately points of interest
And the flavor is pure Mexico
I look forward to a second visit.
Sure looks like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteLove the banners flying over the street...very pretty. I lived just thirty miles from the Mexican border once upon a time. Never made it across. (We were told not to.)
ReplyDeletenice. i, too, despise the hype places. :)

ReplyDeleteOh, I'd love to visit there. Neat!
ReplyDeleteI love the festive colors of Mexico. Thanks for the journey, Jeanne.. the last time I was in Mexico I was 7 years old and rainbow of colors impressed me even then ~:)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh!!!! I am so jealous!!! I haven't been there in years. I only go to places not habited by Americans because they are the best:) So glad you got to visit here. Your pics make me dream:)
