Almost!

There is still ice on the pond 

and a few piles of snow

But..

There is promise

It will be 60 deg today

colder again tomorrow

I can see little teeny bits of green in there!

I took the snowy header down. 

Now I have to remember how I made it so I can post another one. 

Hurry Spring

I just can't wait for something green to pop out of the ground.

This morning I was greeted by a fresh dusting of snow.

It actually looked better than the mud. 

When the snow is gone I will change my header.

For several reasons I have been an absent blogger.

No big deal just a few things keeping me away.

Time is the big one.

Candy Crush on the IPad ( I am so hooked!!)

Broken computer

I have a great big Multi-Terabyte monster machine that runs like a snail. 

It is in the hands of a Wizard right now.

I am hoping his magic wand will do the trick.

White Deer

My sister took this picture.

She works at Argonne Nat'l Labratory

For years when we were teens and young adults we believed that the white deer were caused by 

some sinister activity at the Lab. 

Not so.

They are called Fallow Deer and they were imported here once upon a time

 by someone who had an estate nearby.

They originate in Europe and Africa.

They now inhabit the woods near the Lab 

Cool huh!

By the way... This is show that fell earlier this week.

I live farther north and we didn't get hit quite as hard.

Grounded

There is this small airfield behind my little subdivision.

I absolutely love small aircraft.

It's been a long time since I have had a ride in one of these 

but I just love it. 

The air cowboys have been grounded most of this winter 

but I saw a few planes in and out yesterday.

A Simple Truth

Yesterday

I decided to make the best of a stinky cold and snowy day.

I was going to eradicate the cat hair once and for all without harming the cat.

I vacuumed

dusted

Mopped

Moved furniture

Vacuumed furniture

Laundered bedding

Mopped again

Got under everything. 

Behind everything
My back hurts!

I now know a simple but undeniable truth.

It can't be done!

During all this she

slept...

and... While I was sleeping, she shed two cats worth

and spread it evenly throughout the house.

Bless her little heart!
