Hello

I pulled this photo out of the archives.

It reminds me of The Wizard of Oz. 

I wanted to remove the wire and although I have an old version of Photoshop on my computer, 

I have to admit I don't know how to use it.

It was a gift.

So I just purchased Photoshop Elements 13 

I am told it is much more user friendly and will help introduce me to 

other features I can later use in Photoshop.

With that I should be able to remove the wire and fool with layers etc.

The time has finally come.

I'm ready.

I want to get back to blogging on a regular basis but don't want to offer mediocre images. 

So... Stay tuned!

Hurry Spring

These pictures were taken last fall

I can't wait to see green grass.

I saw a few little green sprouts in the grass this week while I was surveying the damage the maniacal hoodie wearing snow plow guy with no face did.

I kind of like the contrast of the man made 

with nature made in this shot. 

Spring is not far away I can smell it coming!

In the meanwhile I will look at these.

Happy St. Patty's Day

Sister sent me some luscious cookies with butter cream frosting.

My office has become a popular place.

They are almost gone, 

And... I got this sweet little Shamrock plant.

More Puerto Rico

 I am fascinated with the history of the Caribbean and

I find Puerto Rico to be quite different from the Eastern Caribbean in flavor and style

In old San Juan you will find street after street of old buildings in various states of repair

all powered with the tangle of wires that were not even imagined at the time they were built.

I'm glad the facades were preserved. 

Many of them still have the over 100 year old structure behind them.

Some much older.

The oldest of them nearest to the sea are mostly gone and
replaced by newer buildings. Banks and restaurants Chicago style.
I didn't take any pictures of those.

Many have been lovingly renovated with nothing but the facade remaining and new structures behind them.

 Some are empty and waiting for renewal.

Imagine this place during the boom of the sugar and tobacco trade!

Each street has it's own essence.

Some bustling with tourists and locals

Some sleepy residential 

and some downright scary

As you can see in pic number three and the one above, all the camera's.

They know where to watch.

Now That's Better

Bought a nice bouquet of flowers at Trader Joe's

 Got everything cleaned up and sparkely

The temps are rising

The sun is shining in the windows
