Hello

I pulled this photo out of the archives.
It reminds me of The Wizard of Oz.

I wanted to remove the wire and although I have an old version of Photoshop on my computer,
I have to admit I don't know how to use it.
It was a gift.

So I just purchased Photoshop Elements 13
I am told it is much more user friendly and will help introduce me to
other features I can later use in Photoshop.
With that I should be able to remove the wire and fool with layers etc.
The time has finally come.
I'm ready.

I want to get back to blogging on a regular basis but don't want to offer mediocre images.
So... Stay tuned!

  2. I don't have ps either, can't be of any help
to you :) If I would have been in your place,
I would have gone one or two steps more
towards the silo, then the wire would not
be in the way. But I can look around the
wire, and I like this picture, it's a bit spooky
    and a bit dramatic :)
    Have a wonderful weekend!

  3. It does look like Kansas. =D
I often edit out "stuff" either by cropping or cloning. I can do the lariat thing at Photoshop, but it's not the easiest.
    Your photography is never mediocre.

  4. I bought a Photoshop Elements a couple years back but I've not really learned to use it. I think I need some human tutoring so maybe someday I'll take a class. I do use it to run a Topaz filter on some of my shots and also for resizing the photos I use on my blog. Looking forward to new shots, although I've never found your photography to be mediocre.

  5. Great photo - and good luck with the Elements - I need to try that out maybe - although I've been using Gimp - which does the same as photoshop but is free - maybe I'll stick with that. Love the barn.

  7. Your photo is wonderful! Just tonight I posted some photos that I snapped thru an open car window - not the best but I wanted to share. I think we all understand. Your cat profile photo caught my attention on Felicia's blog. I live in Georgia and have 6 cats. Mildred

  9. Love that moody look! Taking out that wire with content aware tools is easy-peasy. Glad to hear you got PSE 13! It is really powerful these days, and you can even use Camera Raw controls on jpeg files. Of course, I don't know what I would do without all the various layers for different settings. There is excellent video training on the software over on lynda.com. I would MUCH appreciate it if you used the link on my sidebar on my blog. I am an affiliate of theirs. You can sign up for 10 days free! The subscription is monthly and you can cancel at any time. Hard to beat to have videos available 24-7 for only $25 a month. Lots of other photography courses too. I can send you a link to the specific PSE 13 course too.
