Yesterday about 400 volunteers packed 106,000 meals for starving children. The past week has been a whirlwind of last minute planning, fundraising and just plain worry since we were short 100 volunteers and a good sum of $$ to reach our goals. Some pretty amazing people came to the forefront to make this all happen and make it a success. I don't have many pictures because I was too busy filling in the gaps for the shortage of people but we made it. Our goal was to pack 100,000 meals. We did it!!!
It's amazing to see, but there is always that special group of people that just pour themselves into the hard work to make things happen.
Now I have to go see the Mom, she will be 89 this year.

That's wonderful. A lot of people will appreciate your efforts this weekend. It's also fun to get together and put all the food together. The smiles on the people's faces are wonderful. Enjoy your day with your mom.
