The Barn

Not all the barns in the neighborhood are falling down.

I love these old country roads.
Keep in mind, I am 40 miles from a huge city.
Less that an hour from Chicago.
This is such a treat.
I love living up here.
I will never return to urban life!

  1. Nor should you:) Urban life is nice to visit but it's not so much fun to live in....I lived in the Bay area for 2 years and it was some of the worst times of my life. If I went back there today, it would be very different. It's a beautiful area but I was disgusted with the traffic and urban thinking. This Wisconsin boy prefers the isolation of the desert with a little city convenience in Tucson....warm skies and great Mexican food:)

  2. Where I grew up we had many scenes like yours, Jeanne. I loved living by the deep blue sea and the countryside. Thanks for the fond memories :)

  3. love, love, love the midwestern barns! grew up in wis. still miss that dairyland. :)

thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. so nice of you! :) and so glad you mentioned it was your first time there. when i saw the comment from 'jeanne' delivered to my email, i thought it was a regular reader. if you hadn't said you were dropping by, i'd have missed you. :)
