We really needed this rain!
Just when I start to get back in a groove I discover my zoom lens is kaput.
Some of you will remember when the camera was dropped and the lens was smashed.
I bought a used one from a reputable dealer and it worked fine
but now it simply will not meter.
The other lenses work so I know it's not the camera.
I will have to rely on my Macro and 50mm for a bit.
I think I will upgrade the zoom.
Any suggestions for a Canon zoom lens?
wow, that's gorgeous! if this is what we get if your zoom stops working, then, no complaints from me! :)
ReplyDeleteand congrats on the rain, you lucky duck!
That is such a beautiful photo...what a wonderful combination of colors in those green leaves.
ReplyDeleteOh I wish I had a suggestion...hope that you get just what will work beautifully for you. Is it worth it to have the zooms fixed? I know nothing about them at all.
DeleteOh that is beautiful. I love the raindrops and the colors!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that is a gorgeous photo! So vibrant! Sorry about the zoom, I'll leave it to the experts to give advice, sorry :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the texture, color, and raindrops!
ReplyDeleteI am a Nikon gal, but I would be happy to do some research for you. Budget and typical subject matter are the prime considerations. And buy the best glass you can afford. If you are willing to buy used, then KEH in Atlanta is first choice. B&H Photo in NY is second choice for used and first choice for new.
P. S. Been thinking about you and praying that you are ok.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful shot!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Rain is good! For a lens....I use a 25 to 300 for near and far shots the best of both worlds in one lens:)
ReplyDeleteI recommend the 100-400mm. I've had mine for 3 years and it works so well. Your above shot is so pretty and colorful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful photo! Just magnificent. :)
ReplyDeleteI found a really great zoom lens for you, and it is budget minded. http://www.sigmaphoto.com/product/18-250mm-f35-63-dc-os-macro-hsm It would serve about every purpose that you could throw at it, it focuses close, and it doesn't weigh a ton.
