Wow... This week went by pretty fast.
a lot of working late to prepare for a week off... Yay!!!
~
This is my Magnolia preparing for spring
In more ways than one.
No snow yet, as a matter of fact it is raining right now.
I'll take the rain!
After all that wonderful fall color it's hard for me to shift gears and find beauty to photograph in the drab and dreary.
but...
I'm really not looking forward to the millions of show shots, as pretty as they may be.
Take Care
well, happy week off ahead! our ornamental pear tree sometimes goes into second spring mode in fall, too - after the long, hot, dry summer, if we get a bit of rain it'll push out new blooms and leaves all over again!
ReplyDeleteNice photos.
ReplyDeleteI'd rather look at white snow than all the browns, but then I like snow. : )
I love the way it looks. Just have to commute in it. ick!
DeleteSweet treasures in and on your magnolia tree. Love the photos! Looking forward to more seasonal pictures :)
ReplyDeleteIt will take some looking on the sunny side to get through to spring. I love snow; I even enjoy being outside in winter, but the thought of five months of winter weather doesn't set well. If you find the lovely, muted colors you have here, you'll be doing very well. Your photography is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWhich bird built that amazingly lovely nest Jeanne? Was it new this year or is one that the birds return to annually and spruce up for Spring nesting - it looks large?
ReplyDeleteMy magnolia dropped leaves this very cold week - in fact everything looks rather pathetic now after an entire week of below freezing nights - unusual this early for our area. I hope we have at least a little snow later - perhaps Jan. and Feb., but not over the hols when it makes travel precarious.
Take care on your commutes dear friend - and have an enjoyable Thanksgiving week off.
Hugs - Mary
Amazing pictures! A view of the spring, during the winter has barely begun - this must be the heart keep for a long time...
ReplyDeleteAs far as i'm concerned, spring can come next week! But i do love Christmas, so i'll take that. :) But after that's over.. it's just soooooooo loooooooong 'til spring arrives...
ReplyDeleteGood morning! Now this is wild...totally wild! To see what looks like spring happening now! You are in Illinois? I am in Minneapolis and we had snow already, and super cold temps but with a melt this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you kindly for coming by and visiting! Wishing you a great Thanksgiving! Anita
Magnolia buds set in the fall for the next spring. Nature is strange indeed.
DeleteRoll on Spring, it was the first really cold morning here today. Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteI hope the snow holds off a little longer for you. The birds have built such a comfy looking nest there. I'm always impressed with their nest-building abilities. Hope you have a very Happy Thanksgiving!
