Looking up at the silhouette
Looking down at the reflection
Looking closer
All of these were taken today on auto.
I cropped a bit and adjusted the white balance on #2
#3 is all about texture so I made it black and white.
#1 I adjusted the highlights to bring out the clouds.

I love them all and the second one is a masterpiece! The trees reflected in the water with the leaves floating on the surface....perfection! Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteSilhouettes, reflections, and texture - a triple play! I love them all. And each one is a reminder about the simple natural beauty that is all around us. We just have to look!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful ! I love the reflection one the most ...just spectacular.
ReplyDeleteOh my...I love them all. I never met a tree I didn't like...lol! Seriously, very lovely photos. Have great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteIs that last tree developing a burl? I just learned about this at Judith's. The first photo is striking and my favorite.
ReplyDeleteIt is where a branch was cut off. I'm not sure it's a burl but I'm not an expert on that.
DeleteGreat job! Three very different pictures from different perspectives, all of which nailed the theme.
ReplyDeleteall lovely! like the up/down views.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful - I didn't think to do a b/w and yours is lovely. Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteTree reflections can be just as nice to look at as the upward view. It looks like a big eye on the trunk of the last tree.
ReplyDeleteEach photo is breath taking - I love them all.
ReplyDeleteLoved catching up here Jeanne...
ReplyDeleteRead a few of your previous posts, and love the fall colours and the countryside too!
Thanks for visiting the trees in my neighbourhood!
Oh I love those looking up shots. Nice close up of the tree and I like the leaves too.
ReplyDeleteThe looking up is my fav too. The sky was incredible.
DeleteHow lovely...every one! And your edits are right on (in my very amateur opinion, that is). :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful.

ReplyDeleteWunderschöne Herbstimpressionen.
ReplyDeleteLiebe Grüße!
You've covered all the basic perspectives -- up, down and up close. I really like your last photo of the tree knot. Such great texture.
ReplyDeleteHi Jeanne, what pretty tree photos! I like the close up a lot. I really love the faith statement at the top of your blog, also. :)
ReplyDeleteOoooh, you've made me happy- I love silhouettes and reflections! And your closeup of the bark is great- such texture. I too love the faith quote...
ReplyDeleteThe black and white do really make the texture stand out, lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love that tracery of branches against the sky, such a great shot. Trees have infinite possibilities.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I love the lighting in the first picture.
ReplyDeleteWow, great shots. I don't know which one I like the best! Great work, thanks!
ReplyDeleteWonderful texture shots. I could use a trip back there right now. I need to visit my family. Feeling that family magnet right now.
