Tripped on the attached USB cord and the camera went flying
Fortunately the camra body is unscathed.
The lens is unfixable.

  1. Sorry to hear about the incident. To look at the bright side, your camera and your body were safe, that’s a relief.

Thanks for your visit and a lovely comment, Jeanne.

  2. Those photos are too sad for words! OW!!! I am shedding tears for you. If you want to get a good used lens for replacement, check out KEH. If you want to buy new, check out B&H Photo. Both are great companies. Let me know if you have any questions.

  3. NOOOOOOO!!!! Oh my gosh....that is scary. I almost did that the other day. Bummer....bummer....bummer. I collect artsy fartsy glass. I also love cats....like you do:) You can see where this is going. One of our darling kitties was playing hide and go seek in the vase. Something spooked her and she jumped out. The vase went down on the ground and smashed into a billion pieces. Several thousand dollars gone bye bye in just a few moments. Kitty was okay. But I remember just staring at it in disbelief! I found a similiar piece as will you. Hang in there. Hopefully you another camera as a spare. I kept my old one just in case something like what you went through happens to me:) Speedy recovery on that lens!
